Error Connecting To Opmn Connection Refused
I had fun installing the SOA Suite with its components within a virtual machine using Ubuntu as the OS. Everything was working fine until I tried to connect to the application server through OPMN using Jdeveloper. (The connection wizard is the first step in het Hello World exercise ;-)) I got the same message over and over again: Error getting OC4J Process for: opmn-oc4j_soa+oc4j-
And it did work!!! I'm still not entirely understanding why I would need this extra line when using a VM. But as soon as I found out, I'll post it. If someone finds out before me, please feel free to comment on this post. -Kevin Like this:Like Loading... Connecting only worked with "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" and not with the actual ip-address. After this change in the config-file it worked! Thanks a lot for this blog. Thanks for posting. regards Jan Vervecken Reply viet hoang, on July 9, 2009 at 6:45 pm said: I ran into the same issue, after spending a day working on this without success, I found your blog, tried and it worked like a charm. Thanks! Now I'm trying to connect to the Application Server installed in the virtual machine, using jdeveloper installed https://beerfromlier.wordpress.com/2008/10/20/opmn-connection-refused-as-within-vm/ in my own machine. So, what I'm doing in jdeveloper is: 1. In the connections tab, right click on Application Server, chose New Application Server Connection 2. Type in all the necessary data. 3. Press Test connection and it fails. I think that one of the problems is that this virtual machine is not in the same domain as my computer (and I'm not allow to do it since is the company domain). I https://community.oracle.com/thread/514889 have tried several things in the hostname (with the soa suite running in the VM): 1. The virtual machine's IP address. 2. The virtual machine's name: eaisimge (without domains, because it doesn't belong to any domain...) With both options I get the same error: 1. Error getting OC4J Process for: opmn-oc4j_soa+oc4j-172.22.52.35-6003-default: Error connecting to OPMN (is it running?): Connection refused: connect 2. Error getting OC4J Process for: opmn-oc4j_soa+oc4j-eaisimge-6003-default: Error connecting to OPMN (is it running?): Connection refused: connect I have tried installing jdeveloper in the VM and setting up the application server connection. Typing in the hostname in the hostname field, it does work. But typing in the IP address, it doesn't. I don't know what can be happening. I need to connect to the VM from jdeveloper installed in my computer. Any ideas? I can't remember if that is the same exact error message as I got but the way I resolved it was as follows: in $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/opmn.xml there is a
