2 years. I get the above error message. Any suggestions please? Lewis, Jan 24, 2011 #1 Support Level 1 Support Staff Member We recommend contacting Roberts direct : WM201 Support, Jan 24, 2011 #2 Dogmatix New Member Lewis, may I suggest that you check out the Reciva Users' Wiki, which was set up by Reciva users for Reciva users, and if you cannot find what you need there, maybe someone in the Reciva forum can help you . Dogmatix, Jan 25, 2011 #3 Lewis New https://www.reciva.com/ Member Solution found Firstly, thank you for the replies. When the fault occurred I rang Roberts and was told to Upgrade Firmware. No effect. I tried Factory Reset. No effect. My nextdoor neighbour kindly fixed the problem for me. This is an outline of the procedure he used: On my computer Start/Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt Type in ipconfig/all - enter Then copy some of the settings https://www.internet-radio.com/community/threads/network-error-timeout-getting-ip-address.1098/ - these are my values: IP Address - 192.168.0.7 (Apparently this has to be unique, so he chose the 7) Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0 Default gateway - 192.168.0.1 DNS server - 192.168.0.1 Then go to the Roberts menu: Settings/Network/Edit Config and enter these values. After carrying out this procedure my radio started working again. Many thanks to dogmatix for his explanation of the fault. He agreed that the cause was a power cut. When the power is restored the internet radio starts up faster than the router, and so gets no answer to its request for an IP address. The procedure that I have described uses a fixed address and therefore cuts out the IP address request stage. Lewis, Jan 25, 2011 #4 Support Level 1 Support Staff Member Great Glad you got it sorted. Hopefully this thread will help others who have the same problem. Support, Jan 25, 2011 #5 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.) I am using my Reciva Internet radios more now and enjoying stations from all over the world. I have noticed that many American stations are now broadcasting higher bitrates and the quality compared with a year ago is much better. Reciva is miles error connecting better than DAB and if you have WiFi at home its a great service. There have been some good bargains lately with Reciva radios being sold for as little as £18 on the net so hopefully more people will be able to experience the range of stations now broadcasting on the Internet. wavejockglw View Public Profile Find More Posts by wavejockglw Please sign in or register to remove this advertisement. 31-10-2009, error connecting to 20:24 #2 Matt-08 Forum Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: United Kingdom Posts: 6,258 Unfortunately most of the big radio manufacturers are dropping Reciva (Roberts, Pure etc.) and now use Frontier Silicon or their own portals. The Grace set on sale in the US looks like the old Logik set that used to be sold by the Dixons group (maybe they have solved the hum problem now). http://www.gracedigitalaudio.com/gra...1000-p-11.html hanssolo View Public Profile Find More Posts by hanssolo 31-10-2009, 20:47 #4 tghe-retford Forum Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Retford Posts: 20,241 I really do hope Reciva continue well on into the future - because there is no recovery service if they go under - Sharpfin won't save us - my radio will become an £150 doorstop. All station data and favourites are saved on their servers, so if they go offline, you are stuffed. Do admit, I am worried than when I read around w
