I first uninstalled PGP, then removed the PGP lines (see below) from all the Notes.ini files. Then re-installed PGP with the msiexec parameters as shown below. Here is text of post above in case link does not work. ============================================== Lotus Notes: PGP Desktop preventing sending of Email Posted by patrick on Apr 18th, 2008 After upgrading to Lotus Notes 8 on my Windows XP PC I found that I could not send emails. I eventually discovered that the problem was caused by PGP Desktop. When attempting to send an email, Lotus Notes provided the following, typically cryptic, message: Operation stopped at your request: mail.box The problem is caused by these two lines being present in the Lotus Notes notes.ini file: EXTMGR_ADDINS=nPgpOvid.dll NSF_HOOKS=nPgpOvid.dll The lines are inserted each time I start PGP Desktop 9.7. This is despite the fact that, within PGP Desktop, in Tools -> Options -> Messaging, I have not selected "Secure Email" and, in Tools -> Options -> Notifier, I have not selected "Use PGP Notifier". Removing the two lines shown above from notes.ini and restarting Lotus Notes solved the problem. Unfortunately this is really a workaround rather than a proper fix. * Lotus Notes * One Response 1. Chris Jones Says: April 21st, 2008 at 11:24 am PGP Desktop 9.7 does not provide support for Lotus Notes 8 as stated in the release notes (https://supportimg.pgp.com/guides/pgpDesktopWin_971_readme_en.pdf). Support for Lotus Notes 8 comes in the forthcoming PGP Desktop 9.9 release. Removing the PGP lines in the Notes.ini will disable PGP Messaging. The recommended way to disable components is at install time using an MSI switch. For Notes it is "msiexec /I PGPDesktop.msi PGP_INSTALL_NOTES=0″ from Star

calling Document.send() http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21368164 Java; API; Document.send(); error; Operation stopped at your request; Service Technote (troubleshooting) Problem The error "Operation stopped at your request" is http://www.verycomputer.com/22_90232f56d0e5be0a_1.htm returned when performing an Document.send() operation. Typically this is seen from the Sametime calendar service, but could be seen from any error connecting Java or COM standalone API program. [ CalendarServiceHandler ] [ com.lotus.sametime.calendar.NotesCalendar ] process NotesException: Notes error: Operation stopped at your request at lotus.domino.local.Document.Nsend(Native Method) at lotus.domino.local.Document.send(Unknown Source) at lotus.domino.local.Document.send(Unknown Source) at com.lotus.sametime.calendar.Response.sendResponse(Response.java:244) at com.lotus.sametime.calendar.Response.sendAccept(Response.java:111) at com.lotus.sametime.calendar.Response.respondToDomino(Response.java:81) at com.lotus.sametime.calendar.Request.process(Request.java:62) at com.lotus.sametime.calendar.NotesCalendar.processRequest(NotesCalendar.java(Compiled Code)) at com.lotus.sametime.calendar.CalendarService.process(Unknown error connecting to Source) at com.lotus.sametime.calendar.CalendarService$Handler.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:570) Cause This is not a Lotus Domino bug. It occurs when the API program is started as a service, and the user account that started the service logs out. When the log out occurs it will send the windows CTRL_LOGOFF_EVENT to all processes. The code supporting the Domino API will process this event and will set a flag indicating that process is shutting down. Whenever the API program tries to communicate over the network it will fail with the message "Operation stopped at your request". Resolving the problem If the API program is being started as a service, an API program (Java, COM, C, C++, etc...) must set the NOTESNTSERVICE environment variable, so that the Domino API code kn
the data from a remote Notes database. The program has been working fine now for several weeks, then suddenly it was unable to open the database any more; the error code given was 33181: "operation stopped at your request". All further requests to this database give the same response. Can anyone shed any light on this problem?
