to socket Newsgroups: gmane.comp.web.uzbl.devel Date: Monday 7th December 2015 01:17:51 UTC (10 months ago) More often than not, I get the following error when running uzbl-tabbed: ** (uzbl-core:20692): WARNING **: Error connecting to socket: /tmp/uzbltabbed_20673.socket * A blank window pops up for a https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=99555 split second and then vanishes. * uzbl-core and uzbl-event-manager keep running. * Killing these two processes does not predictably permit the next attempt to succeed. * So far, I am unable to reproduce the error when http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.uzbl.devel/1677 running the "uzbl-browser" executable. It "always" opens up correctly. * Also note that oftentimes "open in a new tab" causes a new tab to flash (and die). * Sometimes the target is opened in multiple new tabs simultaneously. * Some of them keep stuck in "(Loading)" while others actually load the target. * Sometimes a tab opened only becomes visible upon opening *another* one. Any idea if and how these issues are related to each other? What's your opinion in maintaining uzbl-tabbed in general? (I know there's the philosophy that tabbing is the WM's task - suckless surf, for example.) cheers CD: 2ms
