Error Detected By Database Dll Vb6 -2147192179
Member Join Date Apr 2001 Location Lebanon Posts 90 "Error detected by database DLL" Hi all, here's my problem: I have my VB program (the executable) on a server, and shortcuts to this file on the clients pc's. My reports are all in a folder on the server (they are designed using Crystal reports v8.5) When I try to run my program from the server, crystal report viewer error detected database dll everything works fine. When I run my program from the client pc's everything also works fine, except for the reports. They aren't appearing in the screen and instead I get an error message: "Error Detected by Database DLL" (or smthg like that) I thought maybe it's because on the server I have Crystal Report installed. So I tried to install it on the client PC, but I get the same message. Please help me. What can I do? What's causing this problem? Is the db password protected? If so, you must supply the necessary login data: Set Report = crxApplication.OpenReport("Y:\DAD\QCInspectionOut.rpt", 1) For Each crxDatabaseTable In Report.Database.Tables If UCase(crxDatabaseTable.Name) = "TMPQC1" Or UCase(crxDatabaseTable.Name) = "TMPQC17" Or UCase(crxDatabaseTable.Name) = "TMPQC25" Or UCase(crxDatabaseTable.Name) = "TMPQC33" Or UCase(crxDatabaseTable.Name) = "TMPQC41" Or UCase(crxDatabaseTable.Name) = "TMPQC9" Or UCase(crxDatabaseTable.Name) = "TMPQCINSPOUT" Then crxDatabaseTable.LOCATION = "Y:\DAD\Temporary.mdb" Else crxDatabaseTable.SetLogOnInfo "", "", "", "password-here" crxDatabaseTable.LOCATION = "Y:\DAD\Techni.mdb" End If Next crxDatabaseTable Report.SelectPrinter glbPrinterDriver, glbPrinterName, glb

When I run the app, I have no problem like preview CR report, print., etc on a development machine which is XP machine. After I made a package using MS PDW, and installed on a XP(fresh new) machine to test the package. I have https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/20917340/Runtime-Error-20534-Error-detected-by-database-DLL.html the "Error 20534 detected by database DLL" when I tried to preview the CR report as I did on the development machine. To fix this, I installed VB6(as one of hundred things I tried) on that fresh XP machine, then the error was gone. So I guess that some of DLLs or OCXs that comes with VB6 CD may resolve the prpblem. But I don't know which DLL or OCX or else??? (By the way, I used Acces 97 since CR4.6 does not support Access2000). Solved CRAXDRT detected by database dll Posted on 2004-09-03 MS SQL Server 3 Verified Solutions 42 Comments 1,993 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-21 background: All of the reports we have that work are not using stored procedures. There error detected are about 3 that are using stored procedures...this is something I was given to dive into and seeing the system for the first time (using ASP with Crystal) is new to me. I have experience with Crystal but not on the VB/ASP side of things. So why the person used sp for these reports I don't know but all I know is that we have an ASP page for each report. IN error detected by that page, it allows the users to select parameters via an HTML form. Onsubmit they are then redirected to ReportEngine.asp which takes the parameters and then I guess fires up the report using the ActiveX control. All other reports use their own asp page...and the ones that are not using stored procedures run fine. The error I get after I click submit on the asp page for the specific report shows this error with blank results in the report after I click ok on the 1 error prompts that come up. Error prompt 1: CRAXDRT error occured on server -2147192179 : Error detected by database dll I have no clue where to start....this part of Crystal is foreign to me. I tested the stored procedure and it does bring back field results. 0 Question by:dba123 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 34 Best Solution byarbert "Regarding the parameter prompts.
