Description Arvid Requate 2010-10-22 09:56:48 CEST Beim Starten eines frisch kopieren XP-Images im UMC Modul UVMM erschien das Popup: Error managing domain "bdb3a479-6e16-7427-09d3-f88271d29bcd": POST operation failed: xend_post: error from xen daemon: (xend.err 'Device 768 (vbd) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working.') Nach einem erneuten Startversuch der VM blieb das UMC Modul im Reload hängen. Nach erneutem Einloggen in die UMC wurde die VM nicht mehr im UVMM Modul angezeigt. Ein restart von uvmm-daemon und uvmm-node-common hat daran nichts geändert. If you try to start from the backend, you may end up with following error. # xm create /home/xen/vm123/vm123.cfg Using config file "/home/xen/vm123/vm123.cfg". https://forge.univention.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20481 Error: Device 768 (vbd) could not be connected. Check the hotplug error log : # tail /var/log/xen/xen-hotplug.log If you get the following output : stat: cannot stat `/dev/xensan/vm123_img': No such file or directory Nothing to flush. When error device I run a VM more than twice the number of physical machines in the xen cluster, the extra VMs never boot up, they always change state from pending to terminate, and the log file shows the node controller shutoff the extra VM after it check the instances number.
