Alex March 2008 The GP125 is now quite an old machine. E007 means that an error has occurred with the fixing unit. This is the hot bit the paper goes through just before it comes out of the machine. It consists of a lower roller and above that a thin loop film of thermal plastic with a ceramic heater inside it. It is almost certain that this film has become dissplaced or damaged. E007 means that this film is not rotating correctly. It will need a new fixing unit. Bob January
and E007 are fixing unit temperature error codes. Lets go into more detail now. Fixing unit is a necessary part of every photocopier and laser printer. The temperature of a fixing unit must be sufficient to adequately melt the toner particles. JosephG November 10, 2008 Errors 109 Comments Tweet These are the steps to resetting error codes on the iR5570/iR6570 and other ImageRunner printers. This also refers to eCopy, so follow the additional steps if you have the eCopy setup. The most common errors that I get are from power outages, sometimes after an outage the printer will not reboot correctly and will be stuck with an error message. Additional Functions: Click the Additional Functions button once. Do not hold down. Two and Eight Buttons: Click the 2 and 8 buttons at the same time once. Additional Functions Revisited: Click the Additional Functions button once again. Do not hold down. Copier Button: The System Management screen will open. Click the Copier button on the screen. Function Button: Click the Function button at the top of the screen. Clear Button: Click the Clear button on the screen. ERR Button: Click the ERR button to highlight it. OK Button: Click the OK button at the bottom of the screen. Power Off/Power On: Power the unit off and back on using the switch on the side of the unit. The error will be cleared. Restart eCopy:Once the unit is back up, restart the eCopy machine. This is what has resolved my issues with the ImageRunner printers after a power outage however I know there are other possible issues with these printers after power outages so if anyone else has more details to fill in please comment on this post.
