I want to get this working so I checked the borland/common directory and noticed that it does look completely different from the directory of my delphi4.0-computer. well, i started copying all DLLs and CNFs and BTLs and anything else i discover and suddenly the bdeadmin works (this was after having copied the bantam.dll). yeeehaw! BUT: my app still does not work: now i get an access violation when i open the tables... environment: i have installed Delphi3.0 and Delphi 4.0 (professional, update pack 3) both with patches, both english versions. i also installed Installshield Express for Delphi on my computer for both Delphi 3.0 and 4.0 (os is NT4.0 but i guess that doesn't matter) PS: I need the solution *REALLY FAST*, if anybody can help me until friday the 6th, 16:00 GMT i'm going to double the points (and: YES, i have enough points, if you think the answer is worth more, tell me) 0 Question by:pwyss Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 12 Best Solution byrwilson032697 I a

Borland's list of error codes says the error means 'Cannot load language driver'. Can SKS throw some light on this for me please? -- Robyn Smith Sydney, Australia Top 1. BDE error $3E06 (Language driver not found) on just one computer I have one computer in a network that bombs with BDE error (I think..) $3E06. Anyway, it's "language driver not found." BDE Configuration won't even start. What's very interesting is: (a) the identical configuration works on every other computer, and we're not even drawing BDE off the local machine, we're drawing it from the network. And (b) I have copied an identical Registry subtree onto every machine so the only thing different is the machine itself. Furthermore and most-interesting, (c) you can't successfully install BDE from the Delphi CD-ROM on this machine, even after deleting the registry subtree aforementioned. Now this machine has been reconfigured many times so I'm sure there is some subtle setting but I just can't figure out which one it is. Especially since a carbon-copy configuration setting works on every single other machine. Memory's not a problem, nor are, it would seem, permissions. This user can access the application by logging in as herself on any other machine, and I can't even use the application on this machine when logging on as God Himself. Any ideas? 2.
