When the drive is in the notebook and windowsXP Pro runs, desktop loads up but you cannot right-click or bring up task manager. Checkd the reg and there is nothing running there. Checked services, cannot see anything. Client mentioned that someone else took a look at the notebook and "messed" it up...mmmmm.... Anyways, I want to try and recover the data he lost with this http://www.antionline.com/showthread.php?277867-Trying-to-recover-data other dude but each time I run a recover on it - using easy recovery pro 6.0 - get the message " error encountered while scanning partition "...but the scan continues.. This is first me and google doesn't tell me much. Could the filesystem in fact be corrupt? Is there a method of repairing the file system without losing any other data i.e. can i run windows repair? How do I check if this is software or drive busy crashing....? Thanks for help .....I rather not say.... It's possible to delete the partition table. For example, say someone is preparing for a windows install and they delete the partition prior to format, but do not proceed with the format. Doing some searching, I realized that some people add "use strict"; into their JavaScript code. Once I added the statement, the error stopped appearing. Unfortunately, Google did not reveal much of the history behind error encountered while this string statement. Certainly it must have something to do with how the JavaScript is interpreted by the browser, but I have no idea what the effect would be. So what is "use strict"; all about, what does it imply, and is it still relevant? Do any of the current browsers respond to the "use strict"; string or is it for future use? javascript syntax jslint use-strict share|improve this question edited Jul 24 at 18:59 asked Aug 26 '09 at 16:10 Mark Rogers 30.6k1162102 113 @Jose: in 2009, when I wrote that comment, no browser supported strict mode, and adding "use strict" was a timebomb. See bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=579119 (Amazon screwed up) and bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=593963 (Intel screws up.) Now that real browsers support strict mode, please do use it. (and make sure you test in FF4+ and Safari5.1+) –Sean McMillan Aug 3 '11 at 15:16 27 @Sean: right :) Just don't like the fact that people get scared about such a good feature only because they see a high voted comment stating not to use it. –Jose Faeti Aug 3 '11 at 15:19 8 According to the link to CanIUse provided by @Daniel-Dane in his comment below, IE won't support use strict until version 10.
