500 when deploying forms Error 500 when deploying forms Marco Apr 11, 2016 06:56AM EDT Hello,I just deployed KoBoToolbox on an Ubuntu 14.04 server using the "kobo-docker" method, and all the services seem to be running fine. I can create forms and preview them, but when I try to deploy forms I always get an HTTP 500 error with no further information, making this a bit hard to debug.Anything obvious I might be missing?Thank you. Up 0 rated Down Esmail Fadae Apr 11, 2016 02:30PM EDT KoBoToolbox Agent Hi, Marco. Could you tell me whether you're following the "local" or the "server" instructions? Also, what address are you using to access your KoBo instance? Up 0 rated Down Marco Apr 12, 2016 08:00AM EDT Hi Esmail,I used the server method. koboform is here: https://koboform-test.cruncher.chenketo is here https://enketo-test.cruncher.ch/I just did a 'docker-compose pull', which updated a few images, followed by a 'docker-compose rm' and 'docker-compose up', just to make sure, but still getting an error 500 while deploying.Thank you. Up 0 rated Down Esmail Fadae Apr 12, 2016 02:19PM EDT KoBoToolbox Agent Okay; looks good so far. It might be a name resolution issue where your local network's DNS isn't resolving the KoBoCAT address. To check, you can execute `docker exec -it kobodocker_kpi_1 ping -c 1 kobocat-test.cruncher.ch`. If the address isn't resolving (error message "ping: unknown host kobocat-test.cruncher.ch") then the fix is to uncomment the three separate `extra_hosts` directives in your `docker-compose.server.yml` like this one specifying the host machine's IP address. Up 0 rated Down Marco Apr 13, 2016 04:34AM EDT Hmm, no ping worked fine, I also made sure that the kobocat container can access enketo over HTTP, which also worked:root@thing2:~/kobo-docker# docker exec -it kobodocker_kobocat_1 curl -I https://enketo-test.cruncher.chHTTP/1.1 200 OKPlease let me know if you would like me to create a local user for you to take a closer look at either
