I'm trying to generate a suitable build file for ant - using eclipses built-in export->ant buildfile feature as a starting block. When I run the build target I get the following error: [javac] error: error reading /base/repo/FabTrace/lib/apache/geronimo/specs/geronimo-j2ee-management_1.0_spec/1.0/geronimo-j2ee-management_1.0_spec-1.0.jar; error in opening zip file And the whole build file (auto-generated by eclipse) looks like this: (NB: the error above always references the first jar listed in the classpath) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2601364/ant-build-classpath-jar-generates-error-in-opening-zip-file Formatting Help BUILD FAILED error in opening zip file Forum: Installation & Configuration Creator: Nobody/Anonymous Created: 2007-02-01 Updated: 2013-04-24 Nobody/Anonymous - 2007-02-01 I tried to compile thinwire but had no luck with the following setting: java -version: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build https://sourceforge.net/p/thinwire/discussion/604608/thread/22934848/ 1.5.0_06-b05, mixed mode) ant -version: Apache Ant version 1.6.5 compiled on July 1 2006 thinwire: thinwire-1.2_RC1_r283-src.zip ant sourc and ant javadoc succeeded the only zipfile i discovered was DefaultStyle.zip which is readable and non-corrupt. any ideas? gerhard * --- gerhard@gerhardnb:~/pool/src/thinwire.r283/build$ ant dist Buildfile: build.xml -init: [mkdir] Created dir: /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp [mkdir] Created dir: /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp_src [mkdir] Created dir: /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp_bin [copy] Copying 184 files to /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp_src [echo] Running Preprocessor [] [mkdir] Created dir: /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp_src/pp_tmp [move] Moving 156 files to /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp_src/pp_tmp [move] Moving 156 files to /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp_src [delete] Deleting directory /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp_src/pp_tmp -compile: [echo] Compiling Java Source [javac] Compiling 114 source files to /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp [javac] error: error reading /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/build/build.antpp.xml; error in opening zip file [javac] /home/gerhard/pool/src/thinwire.r283/temp_src/thinwire/util/XOD.java:537: warning: no
This can be done with the includes, includesfile, excludes, excludesfile and defaultexcludes attributes. With the includes or includesfile attribute you specify the files you want to have included by using patterns. The exclude or https://ant.apache.org/manual/Tasks/zip.html excludesfile attribute is used to specify the files you want to have excluded. This is also done with patterns. And finally with the defaultexcludes attribute, you can specify whether you want to use default exclusions or not. http://community.jaspersoft.com/questions/536999/where-do-i-put-my-log4jproperties-file-jrc-task-ant See the section on directory based tasks, on how the inclusion/exclusion of files works, and how to write patterns. This task forms an implicit FileSet and supports most attributes of (dir becomes basedir) as well as error in the nested , and elements. Or, you may place within it nested file sets, or references to file sets. In this case basedir is optional; the implicit file set is only used if basedir is set. You may use any mixture of the implicit file set (with basedir set, and optional attributes like includes and optional subelements like ); explicit nested elements so long as at least one fileset total is error in opening specified. The ZIP file will only reflect the relative paths of files within each fileset. The Zip task and its derivatives know a special form of a fileset named zipfileset that has additional attributes (described below). The Zip task also supports the merging of multiple zip files into the zip file. This is possible through either the src attribute of any nested filesets or by using the special nested fileset zipgroupfileset. The update parameter controls what happens if the ZIP file already exists. When set to yes, the ZIP file is updated with the files specified. (New files are added; old files are replaced with the new versions.) When set to no (the default) the ZIP file is overwritten if any of the files that would be added to the archive are newer than the entries inside the archive. Please note that ZIP files store file modification times with a granularity of two seconds. If a file is less than two seconds newer than the entry in the archive, Apache Ant will not consider it newer. The whenempty parameter controls what happens when no files match. If skip (the default), the ZIP is not created and a warning is issued. If fail, the ZIP is not created and the build is halted with an error. If create, an empty

Where do I put my log4j.properties file for the jrc task in Ant? Posted on January 26, 2011 at 6:15pm 1 Hello, I'd like to configure a log4j appender for the compilation of my .jrxml files, i.e. the jrc Ant task. I'm sure that I have to put the log4j.properties file on my classpath. I'm unsure how to specify that in my build.xml (sse code). When I do include my log4j.properties file in my classpath for the jrc task, I get a ZipException because Ant is expecting the properties file to be a jar or zip: [jrc] Compiling 2 report design files. Unable to obtain resource from C:\\Documents and Settings\\SSolomon\\my-report-mana ger\\resources\\log4j.properties: java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file [jrc] Unable to obtain resource from C:\\Documents and Settings\\SSolomon\\my -report-manager\\resources\\log4j.properties: [jrc] java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file [jrc] at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method) [jrc] at java.util.zip.ZipFile.(ZipFile.java:127) [jrc] at java.util.jar.JarFile.(JarFile.java:135) [jrc] at java.util.jar.JarFile.(JarFile.java:99) [jrc] at org.apache.tools.ant.AntClassLoader.getResourceURL(AntClassLo ader.java:1002) [jrc] at org.apache.tools.ant.AntClassLoader.getResource(AntClassLoade r.java:883) What is the proper way to put the log4j.properties file on the classpath for the jrc task?
