I updated a line of code and try to compile the code and I got an error "compile error: error in loading dll" and it points to the word ".Recordset". I tried to re-register DAO351. Save it will hide that error. The next time you open you will have another problem error in that does not relate to the original problem. Restart it all. Then check Project Resources menu to see if anything is missing. Many times an error is falsely pointing to something in code that is not wrong. I have this happen when a referenced item is missing or has changed location. I get an error on a line that has nothing to do with the actual problem. If this is the error in loading case, uncheck the referenced item but write down what is is and look below to find the original path and close the reference window. Save the project, the reopen the reference window and locate the missing item and checkit. That should clear that type of error. Hope this is what it is. All is working fine when operating under Windows XP 32 bit. After switching to Windows 7 Office reports when trying to access an object created with the data binder: Error when loading DLL. Both Dlls LtXmlComLib9.dll and LtXmlComHelp9.dll are registered properly and are recognized. A reference is made to MSXML6.0, which works on WinXP.Any ideas on the reason for this behaviour?Best RegardsBernd 0 • permalink 11/02/2014 09:28:40 Liquid SupportPosts: 160 Hi, it sounds like MSXML6 is not installed correctly? 0 • permalink 11/02/2014 10:23:49 Bernd BirkichtPosts: 8 MSXML6.DLL is installed and registered correctly, the behaviour also occurs, when MSXML3.DLL is used instead. The behaviour occurs with Windows7 32bit and 64bit. Could the reason be a different behaviour of VB6 and VBA7 within Office 2010 compared to VB6 and VBA6 used within Office 2003 which reacts pretty equal? I will try to find out if the problems arise from the transition from Office 2003 to Office 2010 or from the transition from WINXP to WIN7.CheersBernd 0 • permalink 11/02/2014 10:53:19 Liquid SupportPosts: 160 Sorry, my mistake, LtXmlComLib12.dll references MSXML4, so this will not work on 64bit native. 0 • permalink 11/02/2014 11:20:08 Bernd BirkichtPosts: 8 After copying MSXML4.dll to windows\system32 resp. windows\sysWOW64 it worked again.
