Sigint Error In Datastage
Symptom The DataStage job may fail sporadically due to deadlock when run in parallel mode, but is always successful when run in sequential mode. Cause Partitioning is not set to avoid deadlocks from occurring. Diagnosing the problem Run the phantom error in datastage job in sequential mode to see if the parallel configuration is causing the deadlock. Resolving the problem Open the job in DataStage Designer and select the Target Database Stage. Then select the Partitioning Tab and set to Hash. Finally, select the Key field (and only the key field) of the table to be used to hash partition. DB2 UDB Deadlock while updating Praveen Kumar asked Jun 1, 2010 | Replies (9) Hi, I have the below setup. DB2 UDB Source -> Copy -> DB2 UDB Target. In the target i am doing an update or insert. I am gettinga an deadlock error. The current transaction was rolled back because of error "-911" There are two nodes configured. So two connectors perfrom the update/insert. I tried multiple combinations like making the copy staege run sequencialy and tried different partitioning for the target db2 udb stage... every time I get an deadlock error. Is there any way I can ask the DB2 UDB target stage to run sequencially ?
