Load runner Error -26601: Decompression function (wgzMemDecompressBuffer) failed, return code=-5 decompression error 12 (Z_BUF_ERROR), inSize=0, inUse=0, outUse=0 How to resolve this issue? Increase the Network Buffer Size Network Buffer Size parameter defines the amount of network buffer used by the Vuser during execution. Load runner https://groups.google.com/d/topic/lr-loadrunner/epeSF7uSf-Q may need more memory to perform decompression functions and the above error will be thrown when there is a buffer overflow condition. To fix this issue make the following changes in your HP Loadrunner VuGen software, HP Loadrunner Version 11 and below Run timesettings> Preferences >Options>Network Buffer Size.Defaultvalue will be 12,288 bytes, increase this to 20,000 bytes or more as per requirement. Modify Accept Server-side Compression setting Server-side compression setting in Vugen can be a reason for the load runner decompression function error sometimes. Make the following changes to fix the same, Based on your server's compression settings, try the below settings. 1. Gzip (alone) 2. Deflate (alone) HP Loadrunner Version 11 and below Run-time setting > Preferences > Options > Accept Server-side Compression HP LoadrunnerVersion 12 Run-time setting > Preferences > HTTP> Accept Server-side Compression Alternatively try adding any of the below lines above your LR script request, 1. web_add_auto_header("Accept-Encoding", "gzip"); 2. web_add_auto_header("Accept-Encoding", "deflate"); Your problem should be fixed by now, if you followed the above steps correctly.
