When I try print the error invalidfont offending command show pdf documents to pdf using the Acrobat plug-in, I am unable to do. Problem seems to be caused by an incompatibility with Cambria font.Current version of Acrobat Professional is 8.1.7.MS Word's "Save As PDF" addon works. Is there a fix to the Acrobat plug-in I can use?Interestingly, I don't have any problems with Cambria font and Excel 2007 printing to pdf.Rael I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 50983Views Tags: none

You do not indicate what the problem is, but it is likely that you are not embedding the font. Check your job settings and be sure the Cambria is set to embed. You can also check a PDF and see if the font is getting embedded. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Look through this post at Adobe's site on distiller settings. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/510096 DoubleHelix, Apr 17, 2012 #2 Alex Ethridge Thread Starter Joined: Apr 10, 2000 Messages: 8,790 Thanks. I found the solution at your linked site. Here it is in case anyone else happens along with the same problem: In the print dialog, select the Acrobat printer. Then select "Properties." Click the tab titled "Adobe PDF Settings". Un-check "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts". Alex Ethridge, Apr 18, 2012 #3 Alex Ethridge Thread Starter Joined: Apr 10, 2000 Messages: 8,790 The above works but only for the current document and the selection must be re-made every time. A better solution is to set this as the default in the Acrobat program rather than just in the print dialog. Here's how (assuming Windows 7 and Acrobat 9 Professional): Click Windows Orb Click Control Panel Click Devices and Printers Right-click Adobe PDF printer Select Printer Properties (as opposed to just "Properties") Click Advanced tab Click Printing Defaults button De-select Rely on system fonts only . . . Click Apply Click OK Click OK again Youre done Alex Ethridge, May 4, 2012 #4 This thre
