Error Unregistered Offending Command Xshow
Isaacs PDF Printing Error: "invalidfont", "Offending Command: xshow" JoMoIQ Sep 11, 2014 9:19 AM i saw similar discussions that were not exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to post my own:I have a critically important document that I've created that is refusing to print correctly due to the errors in my thread title error invalidfont offending command show pdf here. After a lot of trial and error (different machines, different OS's, etc.) we've determined that it is a problem with the font inclusion, however, the "offending" font(s) - it's an OpenType Google Font Family - is one that I've used in dozens of other PDF's, in all sorts of combinations and variants, and have never had an issue before this document. This is coming at a critically inconvenient time, given the nature of the project and given that the aforementioned font (Roboto), is part of our brand identity. I have made a PDF with the type converted to outlines, but that balloons the file size up to around 11MB (from 278KB). I dont mind the conversion, but if there were a way to do this and reduce the size to something more manageable, I'd be thrilled (ideally <5 MB).The document is ALL (relatively simple) vector imagery and fonts, and I've not yet experimented with the resolution slider in the text outlining portion of the PDF dialogue

That is mainly the program causing issues. 0 Jalapeno OP Keebs Dec 11, 2013 at 4:10 UTC I just ran into this same issue with a user printing a Word document to PDF then printing to a BizHub with a PS driver. In the end I had to go to Devices and Printers, Adobe PDF printing preferences and click Edit next to the Default Settings. Under Fonts I took the check mark out of Embed All Fonts and saved the setting as Standard(1). Saved all of that and it worked just fine. One set of fonts changed a little but it wasn't enough to make a fuss over. 0 Pimiento OP DrexxTX Jan 28, 2015 at 10:46 UTC 1st Post I solved the problem by changing the font on the original document (Calibri to Times New Roman). Prints fine to all other printers (HP, Canon ImageRunner, Dell cheapo). Though the RIP acts as if it's printed, it produces a page w/ text: ERROR: invalidfont OFFENDING COMMAND: definefont STACK: /Font -dictionary- /JIWAAA+Gotham-Medium false Other PDFs seem to print fine to this printer, even if I use Gotham Medium font. If I open the PDF in Acrobat and use Text Touchup to change the font to something else, it prints. So what could be going on here? The RIP or the C1 is choking on the font.. I didn't see a way in the T1 driver to send the font data as image data or another workaround... Any ideas would be most helpful! --Rob Reply With Quote 06-09-201101:19 PM #2 Bob_B View Profile View Forum Posts Visit Homepage Moderator Join Date May 2009 Location Minneapolis, MN Posts 323 Hi Rob, What happens if you use Command WorkStation to import the PDF file directly to the Fiery and print?
