with Western Digital utility disk that came with drive. For some reason, I cannot do a "clean" install so I re-installed 98se with no problems, then started installing XP Pro over Win 98se. I'm trying the "Upgrade" selection first (although I do not want to). I get this error message: "Unexpected error (0) occured at line 1773 in D:\xpsprtm\boot\setup\arcdisp.c." This happens on both setup attemps ("clean" or "Upgrade") after it goes to blue setup screen and checks my computer. This is a full Retail version not upgrade package. $299.95. I can boot and run to 98se ok with no problems. Other diagnostic programs show no hardware or memory defects. Reloaded K7s5a motherboard disk and all related updated drivers. Whats up.
