Quickbooks Error Loading Type Library Dll
in to vote Hi, Sounds like you have a problem with your typelib registration. Presumably, the Com interop layer is hitting the registry to try to locate the typelib. It would start by looking under HKCR\Interface\{00063001-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\Typelib. The default value should refer to the guid for the typelib that defines the interface in question: which should be located under the following key: HKCR\Typelib\{00062FFF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}. There should be a version subkey and then a 0 subkey, and a win32 subkey under that. The default value of the win32 key should point to the typelib (which is msoutl.olb). I'd start by checking your Office directory for msoutl.olb. If it is there, try running 'regtlib msoutl.olb'. You should have regtlib on your machine is part of your Visual Studio install, I believe. Anyway, reregistering the typelib will rewrite all of the necessary keys to the registry. You will need administrative privileges for this operation.

This works fine on multiple different machines. However on one particular machine I get the following error: Unable to cast COM object of type 'CServer.CApplicationClass' to interface type 'CServer.ICApplication'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{CF0DFA28-046B-4C7D-8AA9-F4B7477D8CAE} ' failed due to the following error: Error loading type http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5705613/com-exception-type-e-cantloadlibrary library/DLL. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80029C4A (TYPE_E_CANTLOADLIBRARY)). I have registerd the dll using the regsvr32 command. I have also created a COM+ application for this dll. Running a search through the registry I can find the key in numerous places. I have also tried unregistering the dll and deleting all referneces on the computer to this dll. And afterwards re-adding the dll and re-registering it. I have written a simple windows script file which tests the dll. This works fine. However the problem exists in my .net project which is running in iis. Can anyone help me with this?.. If you need anymore info please leave a comment. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80029C4A (TYPE_E_CANTLOADLIBRARY)). I saw this in our exception logs which we are using to publish errors. I checked for the above guid in registry and i found it. I delete this entry from the registry, as we have the same com+ component registered with different guids, so i though somebody not unregistered this com+ component from the last deployment and shutdown com+ and started again, not stopped the site. But some how the error is getting logged again. What is going on? I feel shomehow it is keeping the old reference in memory. Do we have to stop and start the web site. It is working fine in our DEVWEB and QAWEB regions, but now in UATWEB Region. Could somebody respond to this? Note:- (i) The original developer who developed above COM+ used Microsoft Active Server Pages Object Library inside the COM+ Component. (ii) The environemnts where it is working is having Microsoft visual interdev and Microsoft Visual Basic 6 been installed. I don't know whether these tools installation created something which allowing the above to work in all other regions except UATWEB where these tools are not installed. I searched and found asp.dll in UATWEB too, but do we need deploy anything ( Ex:- Type Library or RCW based on asp.dll) basing on this in UATWEB?
