new hard drive the master, then restarted. I get the error message that my operating system failed to load, every time. I searched through 11 pages on these forums, checked the Knowledge base, downloaded the latest drivers as the moderators are quick to mention in almost every one of their posts, and I still get the same results. I've tried it with and without error loading operating system linux Nod32 antivirus running, tried it with a normal startup and applications running and also with every non-essential process and application stopped. I get the same results and the same error message, both ways. I've posted this message here, in the off chance that someone has some insight into the particular problem I have run into, but quite frankly, after browsing through 11 pages on this forum and seeing all the problems people are having with True Image Home and related products, I doubt I'm going to trust my hard drives with your company's reputation, even if this particular problem is resolved. Why should I have to go through the hassle of dealing with technical support every time I want to use your software, when I can find software that works as advertised, right out of the box? You say that you made an image from your Maxtor to your WD. If that is what you really did the results you got wo

backup image. I have taken backups on our physical servers using Acronis 8.0 and Acronis 9.1 and everything goes great until I power on the VM and I receive "Error loading operating http://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/error-loading-operating-system-image-failed-using-acronis-true-image.193222/ system" I have tried installing Acronis Echo which is the latest version of Acronis and it will not even accept the file, so I assume Acronis Echo is not supported yet with Converter 3.02? So my question is, what am I doing wrong that I am receiving the "Error loading operating system" and I cannot get the machine to boot? I would like to https://communities.vmware.com/thread/148473?tstart=0 be able to use this for our DR recovery as it would save me tons of hours. I have opened a SR ticket with VMware and the tech could not get it work work either. He told me to contact Acronis as he feels its their issue. This does not make any sense to me since its Converter is a VMware product not Acronis. I have opened a ticket with Acronis and will post what they say here. I was just wondering if anyone else has had any luck with Acronis? 3712Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 26 replies 1. I am not able to boot up all of the sudden. Message is "error loading operating system" and freezes there on boot up. I am not able to start in safe mode or recovery mode. I do have an older version of Ultimate boot cd (v. 4.1.1) but i don't remember how to use it and none of the options seem familiar to error loading me. I tried to download the new version, but can't figure out how. Do I download individual mirrors or can I download the whole thing at once. I am not sure if UBCD is the right thing to do anyway. I have Acronis true image home 2011 installed, so if I can get it to boot I should be able to pick a restore point and save my data. If I have to do a system recovery back to factory settings, I error loading operating will, but that is my 2nd choice. If anyone has ideas it would be greatly appreciated. In Vista this option is designed to do just what you want - fix startup errors. If you don't have a DVD (because your system does recovery from a hidden partition) then see if you can borrow one. You are not installing the software but just fixing it so there is no breach of copyright. kev1952, Nov 27, 2010 #2 nhl2b Thread Starter Joined: Aug 15, 2009 Messages: 25 I ordered the vista boot CD from HP for $20. I have never used it before so I was not sure which option to use. I have seen what it looks like because I downloaded neosmart vista recovery and it has the same options except that 'repair' is the only option that works. Obviously, that did not work. I was wondering which option to use when I get the disks from HP. Do you recommended that I start with 'repair'? What do I do if that does not work should I just reinstall vista or try something else. I don't mind having to do a system recovery too much because I have good backups. I also
