I get the standard windows can now disconnect you usb device message at the end of the error loading type library/dll 0x80029c4a installation. However, when I plug my device back in and try to start Ceedo, after

I have tried installing to three separate USB device (2 USB hard drives and 1 USB flash drive) and on all I get the same error. My operating system is Windows XP. Cheers. keith04-05-2011, 03:35 PMYou should optimize your drive for quick removal. To do this: In My Computer, right-click on your Ceedo drive and left-click on Properties. Please make sure that Ceedo is not running at the time you do this. Next, click on the Hardware tab, and then double-click on the

drive icon representing your USB drive. In the new dialog that opens up, click on Policies and select the option to "Optimize for quick removal." Click OK in each of the dialog boxes to close them and then restart your PC. Once you have completed this process, you will be able to remove your drive safely, even when you see the message informing you that the drive cannot be ejected. Brando21204-05-2011, 03:36 PMwhat anti-virus do you have, this is most likely the cause of your problem try disabling your anti-virus and reinstalling and launching ceedo DazzaB7304-06-2011, 07:02 AMHi guys. Thanks for the replies. @keith - I think what I wrote may have been confusing. My drives are already configured for quick removal and I have no problems with being able to eject my usb drives after the Ceedo install. What I was trying to say was that bit worked successfully and there was no error message during the installation process. The error only occurs when trying to run ceedo. Sorry for the confusion. @Brando - I am using AVG and Zone Alarm. I disabled both of them during the installation and when first running ceedo but, unfortunately, I still get the "Ceedo Autorun - Error loading library: c:\temp\Ceedo\CeedoInstaller\brand.dll. The specified module could not be found." error. Cheers. keith04-06-2011, 07:09 AMHow did yo

Ceedo Personal v1.1 Build 4.0.4174.1 was touted at CES 2006 as a major blow to the U3 platform as well as open-source apps. The software acts as a buffer between the application and the OS, saving everything to its own registry. At Lexar's CES booth, they had Picasa running straight from the flash error loading drive. It is available for download at www.ceedo.com. Does anyone have any experience with using Ceedo ? What are the Pros vs. Cons of the Ceedo platform ? How does it compare to U3 and/or PortableApps ? It seems to me a great deal of USB-connected disk space would be required to run ones favorite Windows programs. Also at what speed do the apps. run at etc. ? Any thoughts would be appreciated. He tried Firefox and Thunderbird out on it and both had issues. You can snag the version from Ceedo.com now and try it out. I haven't gotten a chance to. Problem is, most Windows apps will perform abysmaly unaltered in portable form. Also, PortableApps.com is more than just Windows. Take a look at the apps in the Portable Apps Suite. Notice that, in their standard form, they're all available for Linux and Mac as well. Take a guess at what the plans are for the future. The program does have potential but I have had some issues with Firefox when using the Ceedo installed version. I have managed to put some "no install" or "standalone" apps into Ceedo but getting the shortcuts onto the start menu is not a straightforward matter. It can be done though. I am waiting with baited breath for the promised launcher o

I initially thought that Malwarebytes had sorted it, but no such luck.Apart from the fact that every time Windows finishes starting up (including my logging on) it keeps telling me that (C:\WINDOWS\igokowuc.dll) is not available (because AVG has virus vaulted it), the only obvious effect is that it repeatedly hijacks Google searches (not all, but some).I really want to get rid of this, preferably without reformatting the HDD, because the computer (Dell Latitude D380) shipped with XP but with a Vista backup CD and I don't want to change to Vista. I do have an XP CD from a previous Dell, but I don't appear to have a Drivers & Utilities CDROM for the D830 (I have both originals and backups for the D800, naturally) and if I can avoid downloading them all from Dell, I'd
