Cadlink has just emailed me my license files, but I am checking this first incase I need to resolve this issue before I download my license files. When I installed the Signlab, I waited until after the installation to plug in the dongle, just like it says to do, but I still got this message, "Error in Locating Security Device" then I clicked OK, & another window popped up that said, "Please replace security device" & it shut the whole thing down! Can any of you help me please? The administrator has disabled public write access. "Error in Locating Security Device" 1 year 1 month ago #5137 Bobbie Offline New Member Posts: 2 Karma: 0 Hello? Can someone please help me? I am at a stand still until I can get my Signlab going. Every time I have had to get a new computer, or reinstall my Signlab it has been a nightmare. Does it have to be? If the dongle and the licence files are matched and the dongle is found then the S/N number will show as 4294967295,#0, If there is a problem then the number will show as 4294967295,#-1 If the numbers in the S/N match the numbers on the dongle and the -1 shows, then the software is having a problem locating the dongle. This could be a physical problem or a driver problem. You can download an up to

I think SignLab should get on the ball. I had to ugrade to 7.1 that didn't work. They shipped the wrong software.....then shipped me version 6 and that works but i PAID for 7. I have had SignLab since verson 3 and use it for a vinyl cutting ( settint type only) and the B/W AccuScan bitmap trace, and to run my CNC router. I loved version 5 but nor compatible wit XP. Contact SignLab, leave you message and in a day or two they may get back to you. I really liked them when you could buy the modules you needed but the password/dongle stuff is so not easy.I know the investment is alot of $$$$4 that is why I cut and run router files ONLY. I design in Corel. geb04-07-2006, 10:48 AMStacy, have you tried the knowledge base at cadlink site? I would post th

Isaacs New MemberJoined:Oct 19, 2010Messages:2Likes Received:0 I am having problems installing a copy of Signlab ES2 on a new Sony laptop I have recently bought with Windows 7 x64. At the end of the installation I get the error message βThe program canβt start because ntvdm.exe is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problemβ . After the computer has restarted Signlab opens normally and the HASP dongle is recognised by the computer. As soon as I start using Signlab it kicks me out with the error message βERROR LOCATING SECURITY DEVICE: 1β β it seems that Signlab cannot find the HASP dongle. I have reinstalled the program many times and updated the driver for the HASP dongle. I have run all the updates from Window and Sony Vaio β and still the same errors. I have tried running the program in several compatibility modes - Window XP (SP2), Windows XP (SP3), Windows 2000 and Windows 98 β and still the same problem. I tried ringing Cadlink, but they could only suggest I buy a Signlab upgrade or downgrade my new laptop to windows XP as they say it is a compatibility issue. There are issues with upgrading Signlab, as the newer versions are not suitable for my business, and I really donβt want to be downgrading a 3 day old laptop to window XP. My knowledge is limited, so I am unsure as to whether the ntvdm.exe file is causing Signlab not to recognise the security dongle. I would appreciate any help I can get to fix this problem. Many Thanks #1 Isaacs, Oct 19, 2010 cybercore New MemberJoined:Jul 7, 2009Messages:15,82
