If not, I guess the formula needs an depends_on 'XML::Parser' => :perl in there. adamv commented Aug 18, http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=628720 2011 Please gist your brew --config. dsanson commented Aug 18, 2011 https://gist.github.com/1154607 adamv commented Aug 23, 2011 I guess either Lion doesn't come with this module and previous versions did, or people on Snow Leopard just end up with it usually? dsanson commented Aug 23, 2011 I'm not sure. XML::Parser depends on LWP, and it seems to me that LWP was one of the first things I remember having to install https://github.com/Homebrew/legacy-homebrew/issues/7081 via CPAN on older versions of OS X. So perhaps its just a dependency that most everyone who uses Perl has already installed by the time they get around to installing intltool? A google search for XML::Parser intltool found several discussions, including this closed macports ticket: https://trac.macports.org/ticket/23296 A lot of those discussions suggest that at some point the configure script wasn't doing a great job of finding XML::Parser, even though it was installed. In any case, after installing XML::Parser (cpan XML::Parser), I was able to install intltool without any trouble. mistydemeo commented Dec 22, 2011 Realizing this is late... For what it's worth, I tested on two separate Lion boxes that've never installed anything via cpan and intltool installed without complaining about a missing dependency. Are you using the system version of Perl? Can anyone else replicate this? jacknagel commented Feb 2, 2012 Further discussion in #9851. jacknagel closed this Feb 2, 2012 jacknagel commented Feb 2, 2012 err, #9852. xu-cheng locked and limited conversation to collaborators Feb 16, 2016 Sign up for free to subscribe to this conversation on GitHub.
