My broadband works fine too.I have recently experianced a motherboard failure with my DELL 8400 and have syntax error missing operator in query expression access replaced the whole thing with a New case, ASUS motherboard & a AMD64 AtholnX2 chipset. I've reused everything else including my geforce 8500GT etc.The main difference is that i had to purchase a new OS as the XP OEM version I had with my dell couldnt be reactivated with the new hardware. ...... Since i was forking out big cash i decided to buy Vista Home Premium ($440AU).Windows installed with no real problem and I have syntax error missing operator in query expression count distinct installed my norton 2007, and have updated everything (yes the chipset, motherboard, vid card and everything else has been installed also).What I have done is this ..I installed BF2 (all went fine)I installed Special Forces (all went fine)I installed gamespy and updated it to the latest version (install went fine but when i log on to gamespy manually it finds BF2 as a game onmy system etc but when i try to find a room through gamespy itself but clicking on the BF2 icon it comes up with this "Error: Missing operator" I've read a bit about this but from I can see I'm not alone and there doesnt appear to be a fix ... im not sure if this is the cause of my in game BF2 server problem).I installed patch 1.41 after doing the above.I have then set BF2 to run as an administrator and I have slected the XP service pack 2 compatibility mode (tried every which way).I have opened the norton firewall (which is the default, windows firewall is off) and have given BF2 and gamespy full permissions.I have also tried the instalation procedure twice and have downlaoded the patch twice incase it was corrupt or something.Same results everytime ... all loads fine, log in fine, search for servers fine, but when i go to join a server it doesnt do any

Never had this problem in xp.. I have reinstalled the game and patch several times ,turned on and off me fire walls.. my system is windows vista ultimate amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 5600+ 2.8 ghz Ram 2046 mb 32 bit operation system. don't know if it makes any difference got that sata instead of ide cables..(hope that sounds right ).. can talk to people in game spy it just when you come to click on the game this error comes up..Any help to point me in the right direction please guys!! I think Vista is still months away if you want to game with it and punkbuster does not work in the BF2 games you get kicked for no XP client.
