7, 2012 by angler Dear all, this is a quick one. The Problem. Recently I had the problem of not being able to create a page based on a custom master page and page layout. The error shown was: “List does not exist” “The page you selected contains a list that does not exist” When clicking on “Site Actions”-> “Create Page”, it simply wouldn’t show the insertion mask for title and URL, but issue the above shown error. The solution for this is easy and quick. The Solution. It is quite https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/pdesai/2007/09/27/moss-2007-search-scope-error-queryindex-server-event-log-error-how-to-fix-it/ easy to solve this problem. The authenticated users just don’t have the permissions to read the master page gallery – or in other words: No masterpage access, no new page (which makes sense). Hence, you can go to: Site Actions –> Site Settings –> Master pages and page layouts –> Settings –> Document library settings –> Permissions and add there the group https://angler.wordpress.com/2012/05/07/moss-2007-error-list-does-not-exist/ NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users (Read, Restricted Read), just like in the screenshot given below: Return to the site or page where you initially wanted to create a page, and you will see it is going to create the page without problems. I hope this was of some help! Have a good time and stay tuned to the next blog post! Best regards, Martin Share this:FacebookTwitterGoogleLike this:Like Loading... Me too. Here’s how my team and I at Fpweb.net resolved the Excel Services Error: Make sure your user account has at least read permissions on the sample xlsx file in the reports library. Make sure there error moss2007 is a trusted file location to the reports library in the excel services settings in the SSP settings . Open Central Admin Click on your SSP Name on the left navigation (assuming you’ve already created this properly) Under the Excel Services Settings section click on Trusted file locations Click Add Trusted File Location Enter the URL to the reports library where the excel file is (http://yourdomain/Reports/ReportsLibrary) Check the checkbox to trust children Click OK Try to browse to the sample dashboard again. If you get the same error, perform an IISRESET… then test it once more. You may still be seeing errors on the page under the KPI webpart (pictured). Why didn’t the trusted file location fix this issue as well you ask?  It’s because the KPI items have a property pointing to the URL of the excel file. To fix these errors: You’ll need to click the ECB menu > Edit Properties Change the Workbook URL to the URL of the sample excel file Click OK Presto! Your MOSS dashboard is now fully functional! I hope this helps someone out there! Please remember to visit http://www.fpweb.net to check out our new FREE MOSS Demo service. If you’re trying to prove to your boss that you
