Gfs2 Fs Is For A Different Cluster
a écrit : Hi, I had a 2-nodes cluster running too fine under gfs error mounting lockproto lock dlm Ubuntu server 11.10, with cman, corosync, GFS2, OCFS2, clvm, ctdb, samba, winbind. So I decided to upgrade :) Under Precise
Gfs_controld Join Connect Error: Connection Refused
(12.04), my OCFS2 partition is still working well. CLVM is still OK, nicely speaking with the dlm layer (dlm_controld). I ran "dlm_controld -D" and I can see the nice interaction with clvmd when ran. But when I try to mount any GFS2 connection refused error mounting lockproto lock_dlm partition (either directly with mount.gfs2, or via the init.d script), I get the good old error: | gfs_controld join connect error: Connection refused | error mounting lockproto lock_dlm When getting this, I don't see the smallest contact with dlm_controld (ran with -D, it should blink somewhere). I guess something has changed Dear me :) Check these pages and their diffs: - http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/oneiric/man8/gfs_controld.8.html - http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/precise/man8/gfs_controld.8.html Especialy look at the second line : Provided by: ... Was provided by the package cman, and is now provided by the package gfs2-cluster... After creating the logical https://community.hpe.com/t5/System-Administration/GFS-configuration/td-p/4703903 volumes, etc. using lock_dlm as the lock scheme it will not mount - "/sbin/mount.gfs2: waiting for gfs_controld to start" about 10 times then "/sbin/mount.gfs2: gfs_controld not running" followed by "/sbin/mount.gfs2: error error mounting mounting lockproto lock_dlm"When I change the lock to lock_nolock it mounts. Of course, this will not work in the clustered file system. Did not have this problem with 4.4, just an issue with the inodes not updating correctly. Was hoping the gsf in 5 was better at it. The gfs_controld is in the path and on the system.Anyone with an idea?John Dunham error mounting lockproto Top powers-edu Posts: 5 Joined: 2007/04/19 15:55:22 Re: GFS using lock_dlm problem Quote Postby powers-edu » 2007/04/19 15:57:34 I cannot even get the cluster part working. I can do it in about 10 mins. with RHEL 5 and RHEL 4, but C5 seems to be broken.
