Error Nmid

Issue This TID is a collection of suggestions which led to solving the error mentioned above. Sometimes a single suggestion may work, sometimes more suggestions need to be carried out. This error is also known to occur when NDPS isn't installed at all, or it's know to occur after an upgrade fro Netware 4.11 to Netware 5. * Install ndps20i2.exe * A way to fix this may be to remove all NDPS objects, which clears out the RMS database, then recreate them all. * Run a vrepair on SYS and then try to mount it. Then down the server and bring the server up normally. Hardware could be a possible culprit here, and therefore check the presence of redirected blocks. * Installed the latest HPGATE.NLM (ver 2.00n dtd 3/18/99) and install updated print drivers for all the configured printers. * Customer updated bios on printers and NDPS worked again. * The NIC may be causing the problem, see the abend.log. Check for updated NIC drivers or swap the NIC. * Recommended a reinstallation of NDPS in product options to see if it creates the necessary objects the message references. *Upgrade 4.11 > 5 did not work. It stopped at same place with error Server-5.0-4631 NMID=1001c. The following led to the solution of the problem : 1. Used NWCONFIG to remove and recreate SYS 2. Did Inplace upgrade twice. This eventually brought server up. Created DS. Admin could login. 3. Downed server, did not come up properly. Many NLMs not available. 4. Upgraded again. Try to copy files from CD to SYS with workstation before rebooting server. * Running a Vrepair with option 2,4,& 5 and dsrepair was able to fix the issue and mount all the volumes. * Please check your BIOS and update it if necesary. * when using E100B.LAN > Intel EtherExpress PRO PCI Adapter for spec A3.31 Version 3.51 Apr. 2, 199
