I just started at an office and one of the guys there gets the following error when replying to email 0x800CCC60 SMTP_RESPONSE_ERROR Invalid response. He can send new email, but when someone emails him and he tries to reply this delivery error message pops up indicating http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-email/the-smtp-server-returned-an-error-error-code/826606e3-a3b5-4fb1-960d-6bee68bed470 the mail couldn't be sent. All other email with other users is fine, I have a feeling its somewhere in his settings. Whats being and not being used: No exchange server outlook2000 the office uses a web service for email, I contacted them and they provide no other services other than basic web service. Again, no one else has this problem. Please, I feel like an idiot on my first day. I wanted to stay away from a repair, just yet, I'm new to the office and on my own, so I didn't want to quite start ripping into stuff until I have a full grasp on everything they have going on, other apps and all. Thanks for taking a gander at it though! Hopefully someone has had a similar problem and runs across this. cardfan, Feb 26, 2004 #3 AbvAvgUser Joined: Oct 3, 2002 Messages: 2,281 You have entered your SMTP servers wrong. This is normally because you or someone else has been sending mass emails from the office and someone has reported your emails as spam. Our servers have spam filters which stop emails being received from IPs that send spam so we are blocking you. Resolution 1. Follow link to Spamhaus and unblock the IP address using the on screen instructions2. Wait for your IP to be unblocked - this could be anything from a few hours to a few days. a) If you have urgent emails to send use your webmail service to do thisor b) Change your SMTP server to the SMTP provided by your broadband provider i.e. smtp.btinternet.com (this may not work if they use a similar setup to us of course) or 1. If you have a dynamic IP address turn your router off for 10 mins and then turn it back on2. Go to http://www.whatismyip.com and check that you have a new IP address (different from the one above)3. Now send your emails. Was this answer
