An Error Occurred While Opening A Virtual Disk Vmware Converter
378 replies 25991 views Edited Apr 9, 2014 Finally the DNS problems I had with connecting my PS3 to my network has been resolved. an error occurred while opening a snapshot file I have LinkSys wireless router which is working perfectly for other devices (like laptop, Xbox360, TiVO). My wireless network is configured to NOT broadcast the SID and with a WEP key. After entering this manually in the network setup http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic/159306-dns-error-2-websites-not-opening/ on my PS3, I was able to obtain an ip address from my router, I was able to open the configureation page on my router, but connecting to the internet would fail with some kind of DNS error. The way this was resolved for me (and I know someone else mentioned it in an other post here), was to enter the DNS server addresses manually in the PS3 network settings AND use tetertiary DNS server from my ISP as either the http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network-Support/DNS-error-80710102-resolved/td-p/25577954 primary or the secondary DNS server. Voila... I am upgrading my PS3 software as I write this.... ..btw, this also fixed the similar problem I had with my PSP.. Thanks! Typing the DNS servers method never worked for me. Please contact your tech supportWhy? I really dont know. This morning I accessed this forum without problems. Snort does not block anything the blocked list is empty. Squidguard's is deactivatedIm really tired of the randomness... It works now, 5 minutes later, it no longer works.. Why? I bet even God doesnt know. Here are the problems, on top of this thread (and my 10 other threads on this forum):Problems accessing youtube (buffing for 15-30 sec every minute or so while playing, plus takes about 3 to 5 minutes to start the video playback)random websites stops going thru pfsense (forum.xbmc.org, www.mls.ca, this forum also stopped working at some point)...Firefox behaves very strangely (like right now, it permanently says "Transferring data from forum.pfsense.org..." in the corner, and the "wheel contonuously spins in the page tab)I dont know how many times I mentioned this, but pfsense IS the problem. I plug my laptop directly to the cable modem, and BANG it works..!What will it be next?I am getting to miss my stupid D-Link router..
