A Conversion Error Occurred Db2
already has an answer here: Conversion Error setting value for 'null Converter' 1 answer I have the following problem - I have a SelectOneMenu, first item is just an information to ask the user to select item from the drop item menu and after that are the real values. I have a Converter which work properly when i select and element from the drop down, but when the user does not an error occurred during the conversion select anything i jot this error {0}: Conversion error occurred. Here is the logic for selectOneMenu: This is the part from the Converter class, where it fails: public String getAsString(FacesContext context, UIComponent component, Object value) { if (value == null) { return null; } ... It event did not show me the message "Please, select item!", when no element is selected. It treats the first one, as NULL and i don't know how to get rid of it. I appreciate any help. jsf share|improve this question edited Apr 26 '14 at 17:54 Luiggi Mendoza 64.5k761132 asked Apr 26 '14 at 17:39 Tot 102115 marked as duplicate by BalusCjsf Users with the jsf badge can single-handedly close jsf questions as duplicates and reopen them as needed. Joined: 05/Jun/2008 00:00:00 Messages: 3 Offline Hi, I have a problem witch s:selectManyCheckbox component. See the following code: http://www.icesoft.org/JForum/posts/list/9696.page
ejb: @Stateful(name = "Test") @Name(value = "Test") @Scope(value = ScopeType.SESSION) public class TestImpl implements TestLocal { @Out private List
selectOptions = new ArrayList(); @In(required = false, create = true) @Out private List error occurred selectedValues; @Create public void create() { selectOptions.add("One"); selectOptions.add("Two"); selectOptions.add("Three"); selectedValues = new ArrayList(); selectedValues.add("Two"); } public void go() { System.out.println("Test.go"); } ... ... } After executing Test.go, following message is written to the log: 17:00:54,031 INFO [lifecycle] WARNING: FacesMessage(s) have been enqueued, but may not have been displayed. conversion error occurred sourceId=j_id6:j_id9[severity=(ERROR 2), summary=({0}: Conversion error occurred.), detail=({0}: Conversion error occurred.)] I don't know why conversion error ocurrs, because when page is first time shown, box "Two" is checked (selectedValues.add("Two");). But after click on the button, message above is shown. Interesting is that this code works OK with reference JSF implementation. I also tried selectOneRadio without problems. Anyways, I didn't worry about injection and outjection either, but used a simple array of Strings and the following :- xhtml:- Code:
