I have this regarding CIFS:
# CIFS configuration
#
cifs.enabled=true
cifs.serverName=alfrescohost
cifs.hostannounce=true
cifs.urlfile.prefix=https://community.alfresco.com/thread/173317-tcp-ip-smb-session-handler-permission-denied should be configuring? victor 2013-04-24 09:34:07 UTC #2 Have you check the link below? http://wiki.bitnami.com/Applications/BitNami_Alfresco#How_to_enable_CIFS_and.2for_FTP_for_Alfresco.3f
I hope it helps. Best regards. Carlos_Mercado 2013-04-24 14:01:28 UTC #3 Thanks Victor, yes I did, that's why i came up checking ufw as the guide suggested. But ufw firewall is https://community.bitnami.com/t/cifs-on-bitnami-alfresco-4-2-c-amazon-ec2-ami-ami-bitnami-alfresco-4-2-c-1-linux-ubuntu-12-04-1-x86-64-ebs/12699 inactive so is not ufw the firewall currently blocking the traffic. How can i check which firewall is currently active on the machine? Carlos_Mercado 2013-04-24 14:46:51 UTC #4 Ok, i check the logs and notice error (below). Seems that neither the FTP service and the CIFS are started because the "user" doesn't have permissions to bind those privilage ports... so i just sudo su and the same error, even starting the service a root, what else this can be??? 14:38:06,436 INFO [org.alfresco.repo.management.subsystems.ChildApplicationContextFactory] Startup of 'fileServers' subsystem, ID: [fileServers, default] complete

to no avail it is not working. I might have missed some steps but I would like to get additional information as the wiki resource have very little information./3482 I have https://community.bitnami.com/t/alfresco-migration/7686 installed the latest version of bitnami-alfreso, migrated the data folder and have restored the database and edited some parts of the global configuration file (basically just changed 127.x.x.x to my preferred ip). I have started mysql and tomcat service and everything went up properly but when I tried to log in I get an error message that says: error org.alfresco.fileserver Here is what alfresco is saying when I try to log in: The remote server may be unavailable or your authentication details have not been recognized For additional info below is the copy of alfresco.log 02:34:52,526 WARN [org.alfresco.repo.activities.post.lookup.PostLookup] Still busy ... 06:56:22,586 WARN [org.alfresco.repo.activities.post.lookup.PostLookup] Still busy ... Hope someone can shed some light. Thanks Jonas victor 2012-10-08 error org.alfresco.fileserver 17:35:38 UTC #2 It seems that something is missing. Please, check in your new Alfresco installation that MySQL is properly configured. Double check hostname, port, user and password in configuration files. And if you can, try it manually using: cd
use_alfresco
mysql -u
And if you plan to try again into a new fresh installation, maybe you would like to know that BitNami Alfresco 4.0.e-0 have been released today. jonas 2012-10-09 10:46:15 UTC #3 Hi Victor, Thank you for the information. I'll try to migrate alfresco to the latest version and do the migration procedures. I'll post additional information from alfresco.log and possibly mysqld.log as I forgot to post it. I'll post again later after testing. Thanks victor 2012-10-09 10:49:00 UTC #4 Please, come also if you have success and tell us about it. jonas 2012-10-11 08:10:25 UTC #5 Hi Victor and to others, Sorry for posting a very long post.
