I have created an ASP.NET asynchronous handler that is responding to clients with NO HTML markup. The HTTP response is a completely customised response. The issue I have is when IIS https://forums.iis.net/t/prev/1112815 tries to report an error or ASP.NET does. Now I know I can customise error pages in IIS 5,6 & 7. Is there a quick way to change all these or a way in ASP.NET to programatically control these? Also I like debuggingoptions in ASP.NET but if I turn itout in productioncan Ibe sure that I will not get any HTML responses to the client under certain conditions? Basically I want to avoidall default HTML responses comming from IIS and ASP.NET.Could someonepoint me in the right direction on how to completely control this? Many thanks. You can customize those with your own messages or webpages. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/224070 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302570 Hope that helps. The .net error pages icon does not show on my management console. Can anyone advise how I configure IIS 7.0 to get that option? I am assuming that .net error pages is available for IIS7.0....... maybe this is incorrect? It has to be done via the web.config. The customerrors tag has to be inside the system.web tab. Here is an example of what the config would look like.
