Hi, I am receiving this message when printing. The printer works from the NT server 4.0 to the printer, but when I print from a Windows 98 Station this error appears. I am printing through an HP Jet Direct Card and other printers work fine, as http://discussions.virtualdr.com/showthread.php?35924-Access-code-is-invalid-when-printing did this printer before this error occurred. I tried reinstalling the printer on the workstation, restarting the server, but this message still appears. Any idea of what is happening? I wanted to add a print screen to this message but I will have to type it instead: There was an error writing to \\SERVERNAME\PRINTERNAME for Printer (PRINTERNAME); The Access code is invalid. This printer will be set to work offline. To save your print job in the local printer queue, click OK. (The OK and Cancel buttons are my only choices.) The port should not be \\SERVERNAME\PRINTERNAME if you are using a direct ethernet connection. Using the port you list would mean that the server should be controlling the printer. Reply Wi
