print file, to help define the problem? Any ideas on what to check? Also, is the printer set to print to the usb port in the printer properties (control panel>printers>properties, click on the ports tab)? Check those 2 things, sound silly but may just solve the problem. Also, make sure your print drivers are up to date. What model printer is it anyway? new tech guy, Aug 11, 2009 #2 Oconee29 Thread Starter Joined: Aug 10, 2009 Messages: 3 No the printer does not have a direct USB port. Yes the printer is set to print to the USB port. The printer is model is Epson C62. The printer is listed as offline when I look in control panel>printers. The Vista pc is seven months old and the printer and cable worked fine for 7 months. The printer passes a self test. I connected the printer to an old Windows XP pc and it prints. So it has something to do with Vista PC. Only changes I am aware of are the Vista update to SP2. Oconee29, Aug
