Is this what should be tested? Port 9100 for "Standard TCP/IPport monitor" (RAW)"I don't think it is about SMB / RPC ports as the network printer is not aWindows OS. Am I wrong in saying so?Thanks and sorry for my ignorance.mixty Share Flag This conversation i

Users are still able to print but the server is reporting an error which triggers windows 7 and windows vista to inform the user that the https://community.pharos.com/thread/1084 printer is in "error state" or that there was "an error printing." This information worries users and causes many calls to our help-desk. Programs built on Java are unable to print as long as the queue is reporting an error.Has anybody experienced this before and found a solution?Print system configuration:Server:Intel Xeon x5650 2.66 ghz (2 processors)RAM 8 GB64bit OSWindows Server 2008Pharos 8.1.5293.56Printers Managed:251 printers bring managed160 Kyocera6 Konica53 Canon26 HP6 othersQueue Structure brake down:4 held queues for 45 printers of same model for each queueexample:B&W queue (driver kyocers FS-9530) is associated with Kyocera FS-9530 printersB&W_finishing queue (driver Kyocera TA-420i) is associated with Kyocers TA-420i printersShared queues and device queues match in driver and printer model.234 direct queuesThe rest are not managed by phaorsSettings:64 bit and 32 bit drivers are of the same version numberSNMP status is disable on the portsBidirectional support is disabled (pe
EPSON Print: Error - Printing, Network Printer Error. Mike Mclain discusses one possible fix to the EPSON Print: Error - Printing, while using a EPSON workforce network printer. Preface: A few weeks ago (circa http://mamclain.com/?page=Blog_Personal_Projects_EPSON_Print_Fix November 11) I wrote an article discussing a possible solution to the EPSON Scan: Cannot Communicate with the scanner... Error that I encountered. Conversely, Lady Fortuna decided to bestow upon me (this week) the inverse and equally unique problem (a sudden inability to print) thus I now find myself writing an article covering one possible solution to the EPSON Print: Error - Printing error I encountered. Now, error printing before I start discussing my solution to this particular problem, allow me to provide a brief disclaimer: First, it is important to recognize that this particular error message is inherently (if not intentionally) a metaphoric turkey shoot, insofar as such messages are inherently generic by design and the number of problems that can ultimately produce such errors are extremely vast. Likewise, with this being said, I highly error - printing recommend that you review the differential paragraph (provided below) and determine if the symptoms discussed match the ones you have encountered (noting that, if they do not, the solution to your particular variation of this error likely exist elsewhere on the Internet). Second, given the diverse occurrence of this particular problem (since printers are practically a household item), I attempted to make this article as broad as possible in order to make it more palatable to an assortment of technical backgrounds. Conversely, as a result of this objective, I have incorporated a number of screenshots into this article (since a picture is typically worth a 1000 words) and I would like to briefly mention that these screenshots are being presented, within this article, under the fair use doctrine since their inclusion is strictly educational. The Software Differential: Now, with the preface out-of-the-way, allow me to begin providing a brief overview of my current hardware configuration. I currently own four network printers: A EPSON Workforce 2540, A EPSON Workforce 3530, A Hewlett Packard Office-jet 6600, A Cannon PIXMA MG5522, that are connected to a mid range overclockable Intel i5 Windows 7 computer with 16 gigabytes of memory via wireless L
