Runtime Error R6034 Windows 10
2003 Location San Francisco, CA Posts 8 Runtime error R6034 I'm getting error R6034 on my install, and can't explain it. An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information. To reproduce: 1) Create a new MSI project in InstallShield 12 2) Convert to InstallScript MSI 3) In Support Files, add 'msvcp80.dll' or 'msvcr80.dll' 4) Compile and run the setup. It pyinstaller runtime error r6034 throws the error when the setup exits. I'd really like to figure this out. The product I'm working on is on IS8, and this is one of the things preventing me from upgrading to IS12. My setup uses C++ dlls that depend on the MSVC runtimes. So my setup files would look like this: mydll.dll Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest msvcp80.dll msvcr80.dll This works fine in IS8. Yes, I could make mydll.dll statically link to the CRT, but it has many .lib dependencies that are used by the rest of the application. Everything would have to become statically linked, or I'd need two builds of every shared .lib. So this isn't an attractive option. Thanks for any help!
