NetBackup writes a 1024 byte header to the tape. When a tape is loaded, NetBackup will allocate a 64 Kb memory buffer to read the header. The error "io_read_block: read error on media id XXXXXX, drive index 1 reading header block, Not enough space" occurs when the data read off the tape is larger then the memory buffer allocated for the read. This typically indicates that tape has been overwritten and a data block is being read instead of a NetBackup header.Troubleshooting:Run an Media Contents report on the Media ID listed to see if the images still reside on the tape. This will read the header information off the tape and show what images reside on the Media ID. To run the Media Contents report do the following: 1. Go to the Reports section in the NetBackup Administration Console. 2. Select the Media Contents report and enter the Media ID reported in the error. 3. The Media ID will be loaded and the tape will be read. 4. Once the tape
