Its just http://forums.dashhacks.com/psp-help/202508-can-i-go-back-sonys-original-firmware-custom-firmware-2.html that the PPSSPP didn't support EBOOT.PBP files yet. 11-06-2012, 07:24 AM (This post was last modified: 11-06-2012 07:26 AM by kacperski1.) Eboot is just some kind of archive, which contains game icons and an ELF executable file, and ELFs are supported in http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=117 PPSSPP. You just have to use for example PBP Unpacker (I think you knew it already, but whatever) 11-06-2012, 03:42 PM Post: #3 ThinkingDude188 Junior Member Posts: 7 Joined: Nov 2012 Reputation: 0 RE: I think the PPSSPP should run EBOOT.PBP for games (11-06-2012 07:24 AM)kacperski1 Wrote: I kinda supports eboots. It is called data.psar in eboot.pbp files if I recall correctly. Just because it isn't named .elf doesn't mean it isn't

I'm sure that I've done almost everything correctly, as I can play both ISO/CSO files from my Memory Stick on my PSP, but I can't play these EBOOT files that I've downloaded from this site and I don't understand. Here is my System Information: System Model: PSP1000 System Software: 6.60 PRO-C Nickname: P038 MAC Address: [ Model: 01g ] I've seen that there have been updates for the PRO-C, like PRO-C2, but I'm not sure what the major difference(s) is/are, and don't see the need to upgrade/downgrade if I can play other games just fine. I can run other games from before, such as Clock Tower 1 & 2, but out of the 15 games that I've just gotten ahold of and tried to play, it just says "Corrupted Data". All I did was just drag-and-drop the Folder for the game (e.g. Final Fantasy VIII) into the PSP/GAME folder, and loaded it into my PSP. Again, I CAN play ISO/CSO files, those aren't the problem; I want to be able to play the PSX2PSP files (EBOOTs), as there are so many great games on the older console as opposed to the handheld era. I'm sorry if this post isn't informative enough, I tend to ramble and be rash about things. Thank you all in advance! -Itsutsume == Sorry for the bump/double-post

Also, Dragon Quest VII (Deserves it's own spot.) Awards: Posted 20 November 2014 - 12:29 AM So, I bought Vib-Ribbon on PSN! I've had a lot of fun with it, but I've played Bronze, Silver, and Gold over and over and over and over and over and over and over... and over and over again. I want to play with some of my own music. I don't have a PS3 to play it on, so I'm going for an emulator. However, I haven't been able to extract the ISO from the game! I tried with PSX2PSP 1.4.2, New PSXDecrypt (PSP 6.60 homebrew), and a couple other utilties whose names I already forgot. All of them have failed with a generic-sounding "out of memory" or similar error, except for NewPSXDecrypt, which outputs: PSX Decrypter -- by Dark_AleX - Inofficial FW Port Press X to decrypt GAME.PBP. Press O to decrypt DOCUMENT.DAT Press start to exit. Decrypting header... Decrypting special data... Error 0x80510206 decrypting special data. I've had troubles with other tools before, but New PSXDecrypt worked last time I tried to use it (I think for a Spyro game...? It was over a year ago. Whatever it was, I know it was from the PSN store, not an unofficial eboot.) I found one more tool that claims to extract PSOne classics ISOs from official eboots - but it's on GitHub without an already-compiled version available for download. I have no idea what to do with it. If someone can tell me how to compile/use it, that would be great.https://github.com/Hykem/psxtract I also spent about an hour dumping my PS1 BIOS so I could try ePSXe's native eboot reading function with the game. The BIOS work (tested with DW7) but ePSXe 1.9 hangs at a black screen attempting to read the Vib-Ribbon eboot.
