Since this I have not been able to update packages in SCCM as Distribution Manager says that it is unable to access the filesSMS Distribution Manager failed to access the source directory "\\ccmfp\Deploy\Landesk\Microsoft\Office\Office-2007-VLK" for package "LON00076". The operating system reported error 5: Access is denied. The sccm computer account is a member of domain admins and local administrators on the file server. As is the site system installation account which I have also configured. The share is full control to everyone and both the accounts mentioned have full control over the folder in ntfs permissions. The following spn's are set on the clusterHOST/ccmfpHOST/ccmfp.cheyne.localHOST/ccmfp$HOST/ccmfp$.CHEYNECan anyone give me any pointers as to what to try next?ThanksTim Friday, January 15, 2010 11:15 AM Reply | Quote Answers 1 Sign in to vote This is a Windows bug and there is a hotfix available for this and it happens when the site server OS is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 and is attempting to read a file from a destination location that is not running these OSes.http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/973278Can you try out the above hotfix and see if it resolves your issue? Thanks,Bhaskar Marked as answer by Eric MattoonMicrosoft employee, Moderator Tuesday, January 26, 2010 8:30 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2010 7:51 PM Reply | Quote Moderator All replies 0 Sign in
