Microsoft Visual Foxpro Error Reading File
Check out Q272127: "STATUS_UNEXPECTED_NETWORK_ERROR" Error Message This patch fixed it for us. Thanks! Microsoft is tracking the patch because it is not error 1305 error reading from file windows 7 yet fully regression tested. Also, they are not charging for the support call on this issue. (At least, they didn't charge us!) Christopher Olson The error "Error reading file" in general appears when the connection to the error 1305 error reading from file windows 8 drive where Fox reads it's data (dbf, cdx, etc) fails. Ususally this happens on a network drive, since they are potential for disappearing; Depending on IMO the Client-version, this error is shown, or a Network error reading file (etc.) comes first and the Error reading file is not shown (use a simple Dos-machine, and you'll have this one). So much for the known stuff. For (WTS ?/) Citrix users this may happen when the

connection from the TS-task (user-task within TS) gets disconnected, which Citrix does not report on, but the connection is disconnected explicitly. This can happen when not enough licences are present, and at "some time" Citrix (WTS ?) says : okay, you go now, first pay. In the end, again a normal Error reading file as described above, but just recognize it. This by the way, becomes even more fuzzy, knowing that implementing the new licences won't help, unless all of WTS and Citrix is re-installed from the beginning. Apart from everything, somewhere in the Client is re-connect functionality (may even be a param) which says : when somehow the connection with the server gets lost, re-connect again. This propably operates on Netware-only. Think of laptops plugged out one day, and plugged in the next day, without logging off and on. IMO this will never work for VFP, and should never be performed. But anyhow, this re-connect functionality is within the Client, and does it's job whenever it's found necessary. This may be any kind of disturbance out of our control. Now somehwere in TCP/IP and MS stuff, there is this regular disconnect, but no problem, because the Client re-connects automatically. This is indirectly caused by DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) which -when active- once in the few hours asks fo

Verify that the http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~ErrorReadingFile file exists and that you can access it. This prevents me from installing the software. What's wrong? Answer: The Windows "System" group needs to have access to the file. This problem often occurs when the msi file is saved to a folder without System group permissions and with "Inherit from parent" https://community.activestate.com/faq/error-reading-file-during-installation set. To solve this, grant the System group Read & Execute permissions for the installer. See also: http://devsac.blogspot.com/2009/02/error-reading-from-file-msi-verify-th... Error reading from error 1305 error file. Causes: You may have incorrect user permissions set on the installation target folder. Solution: One possible solution is to make sure you have full permission to the destination folder where your program is being installed. Locate the folder on your installation drive. Right-click the folder and click Properties. On the Security tab make sure your user name is added to the list, or the Users group is present and that Full Control is selected. Click OK and install. Another possible solution for Error 1309 would be to make sure that the path to the source and destination file is not breaking Windows Installer limit 256 character. For example if you are running the product installer from your Desktop, please move it in a folder on C:\ (e.g. C:\adsk). I found some users who'd reported a similar error, but I haven't been able to find their solutions helpful. I'm running ROOT 6.06 that I compiled myself, and I have a root file as an output from Geant4. I used hadd to combine 16 individual root files from each Geant4 worker thread to the one final Root file that is 2.82 GB in size. When I open the TBrowser and try to view the histogram of any tuples I have saved in the file, I get the following error:Code: Select allError in

file probably overwritten: stopping reporting error messages
===>File is more than 2 Gigabytes
I observe the same error trying to read the data in with PyROOT, where I am trying line by line to access the tuple and place it into an array in memory. It seems that a 32 bit integer might be looping around to stop me from reading beyond a certain limit (As the byte is suspiciously close to -2^31). Am I missing something when trying to read files larger than 2GB in ROOT, do I need to change a compilation flag to read things with 64 bit support? When I call TFile->GetVersion() I get 1060414, which I expected should have meant the file was opened with support for large files enabled, but I am not familiar enough with the Root internals to be sure.Or should I just try and use smaller files? Thanks in advance for your help.
