Explanation: You attempted to read from a disk volume that wasn't ready to send data to the system. Diagnosis: This is almost always caused by trying to read data from a removable storage device that has no media in it, such as an empty CD-ROM drive or floppy disk drive. If it occurs with a hard disk, this probably means the drive has a problem or is misconfigured. Recommendation: If the drive is a hard drive, this almost always means a general failure of the disk. Troubleshoot the hard disk drive. For a floppy disk drive, troubleshoot this problem here. For a removable storage drive, place a disk into the drive and try the command again. Note that it may take several seconds for a CD-ROM drive to recognize an inserted disk. If the problem persists, continue here.
