Or to port 465 with SSL enabled, but without authentication enabled.Receiving Email error message : Shutting down POP connection. Error reading from network.

It says nothing about why that might have happened.Post by melanieIt`s since yesterday, before it goes very goodIf you haven't made any changes, it may well be that the server istemporarily broken. Or it may be that your service provider made a changethat requires you to change something in your settings. Or your anti-virusprogram may be acting up. Checking with your ISP to see if they can tellyou anything useful would be a good idea.--Katrina 1 Reply 2 Views Switch to linear view Disable enhanced parsing Permalink to this page Thread Navigation melanie 2003-08-13 09:26:16 UTC Katrina Knight 2003-08-13 17:29:13 UTC about - legalese Loading...

Everything was working great until this morning. I can receive mail but when I send mail it doesn't go and I get the following message. "Error reading from network. Cause: Connection closed by foreign host" I checked everything I think of and I don't know what the problem is. I have Eudora running on another error reading PC and I can send mail fine with the same mail settings so it looks like my trouble is machine specific. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks! artmanphoto View Public Profile Visit artmanphoto's homepage! Or is it just today? Is the other PC on the same ethernet connection (ISP)? CyberSmurf View Public Profile Visit CyberSmurf's homepage! This problem has gone away as of late this afternoon. I don't have a clue why is happened and why it fixed itself. Thanks for your help though. artmanphoto View Public Profile Visit artmanphoto's homepage!
