I am running IIS 6.0 on Microsoft WebServer 2003 with SharePoint Team Services. Every hour at 11 minutes after the hour, I get the following two errors in https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/20912766/Application-Event-id-1000-occurring-every-hour.html my application event log. The first error is an information error. The source is FrontPage 5.0 and the Description is Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions: Error reading IIS default Vroot info. The second error is a Warning. The source is FrontPage 5.0 and the description is Microsoft FrntPage Server Extensions: Error #3005f Message: Unable to read configuration for Microsoft Internet Information Server. I have tried various things such as disabling "Log authoring actions" and making sure my default web site is in the inetpub/wwwroot folder (at least on one server. The other server has the default website in inetpub/www. I'm getting the same error on both servers). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Expression > Expression Web and SuperPreview Question 0 Sign in to vote I recently started get this error when webforms are submitted: error reading FrontPage Error. User: please report details to this site's webmaster. Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details. What is suppose to happen is when the Submit button is clicked, the form is emailed and the viewer should get a Confirmation page. As I mentioned, this use to work just fine for all the sites I am hosting on my server. But recently different forms will throw the error error reading iis above and not submit. When this happens, I have not a definitive way to fix it but end up performing some or all of the steps below: IISReset Stop and Start the individual site Go into FP Server Extension properties in IIS and make a change and then change back. Run both a Check Server Health and Recalculate the Web Publish the site to a backup site Re-boot the server. There are no Application Log event errors when this happens. Some of the forms work while other stop working. There is no reason that I can see why some of the stop at times and need me to take the steps mentioned above. Sometimes when I fix the ones that have stopped the ones that were working later will stop.Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks Saturday, June 07, 2008 9:29 PM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Are these all "your" web sites on "your" server, or are their client sites maintained by other people? Are all of the sites individual "server extensions web" sites or virtual directories with just the root web extended?FrontPage MVP Sunday, June 08, 2008 8:32 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote All our individual websites on my server.
