FAQ on this bug but it has not been answered for half a decade! "Error running SuperMemo Error reading ImageList1.Bitmap: Failed to read ImageList data from stream" --------------------DETAILS-------------------- SuperMemo 16 (Build 16.06, Oct 1, 2014) Time: Mar 23, 2015, Mon, 04:38 --------------------ERROR The rest of data could not be retrieved due to system errors! Error: Access violation at address 007F759B in module 'sm16.exe'. Read of address 00000011 more information in follow up I usually do a Repair Collection: Detailed and then backup my collection to another directory (Dropbox). I make sure there are no errors listed in the generated report before doing the backup before turning off SuperMemo for the night. So, yes I can see https://groups.google.com/d/topic/borland.public.delphi.vcl.components.using/QAiXJ-m2kjM that SuperMemo is not ‘causing’ the error This is Windows Vista! Not XP! more questions Could this be the issue? “Have you done anything funny to your Delphi installation, such as adding a delphi32.exe.manifest file to Delphi's directory in an attempt to make the IDE have XP or Vista theming? Don't do that. If you have that file there, delete it, and you should be back to normal. The image-list format changed with version http://supermemopedia.com/wiki/Failed_to_read_ImageList_data_from_stream 6 of the Common Controls library, and Delphi 6 is not capable of using it. The manifest tells the IDE to use version 6, so when it saves your DFM, it uses that format. Then, when loading, prior versions can't read it anymore. “ From: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1074857/image-list-loading-fails-on-delphi-6-and-vista-service-pack-2 Thank you Hints unfortunately, this error is an indication of system problems in your Windows if you use older Windows, you might consider an upgrade. If you use newer Windows, be sure you install all updates (esp. video drivers). If you have the newest windows with all the updates, try Safe Mode. Check for malware. At the very end, consider a possible hardware problem (e.g. errors in reading SuperMemo from the disk) this is not a bug in SuperMemo, although, it might be a weakness in how Delphi handles image streams, which SuperMemo, in theory, might try to work around your report is only third ever of this error occurring (the first report came from SuperMemo 2008) lack of answer in an FAQ often simply indicates "lack of further information" please report your Windows version. If you can run SuperMemo, use Help: E-mail: Bug report. Delphi forums indicate this error happens mostly in Windows XP (in other applications) doing Repair collection is not necessary when trying to prevent the problem. This is all about the wa

I've tried reinstalling and that didnt http://delphi.cjcsoft.net/viewthread.php?tid=48349 work and I cant figure out what to do. I see this is associated with ZDaemon, but I dont use it, I only use Zandronum with Doom Explorer. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Zandronum and Doom Explorer multiple error reading times, cleaned temp files and emptied the entire contents of the Zandronum folder out and I'm at a standstill. It's a cross-platform for many Doom versions, and it's developed by some of the Zan devs. :)And my guess why you get the error: A so called "ImageList" is a list of images (of course ) that is usually used, at least in the .NET language, to store multiple images for simple access. But from what I get from the error one of the images can't be loaded, thus the application won't work. And yes, it seems to be related to ZDaemon, but that's for the reason that Doom Explorer too is a cross-platform server browser. So the problem is not ZDaemon
