File ?dhcpd.conf? does'nt exists in the ?/etc? directory so I copied from ?/etc/log.d/conf/services? directory to the ?/etc? directory by simply dragging it using the command ?cp/etc/log.d/conf/services/dhcpd.conf /etc? doesn't responds as there occurs an error that your destination is missing. I used rpm -qa dhcp* and it replied as dhcpv6_client-0.10-13This has dhcpd.conf, v 1.5 2005/02/24. chkconfig dhcpd on resultserror reading info on service dhcpd: No http://www.techrepublic.com/forums/discussions/dhcp-problem/ such file or directory.So the problem lies in the fact how to edit it and make it operable. It looks like yours would be /etc/dhcp6, but I'm not certain. 0Votes Share Flag Collapse - Ew... FC by deity_chooch · 9 years ago In reply to DHCP Problem First, I'd suggest getting away from Fedora Core distributions. I've had several issues with them; in fact, I think FC3 or FC4 needs a kernel upgrade immediately after an install (at least with the hardware I used). You might also check into that.If it is installed, have you checked for a startup script in the /etc/init.d/ directory?
