Definitely recommend cutting the cache size down. Show Jonathan Ellis added a comment - 09/Sep/13 07:54 It's probably running out of memory, slowly. 3.5G is a huge cache for a default 8GB heap. However, my save files are not being read by JA:BiA. This are still in their file: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Jagged Alliance - Back in Action However, when I open the game, the game will not read the saves and only gives me the option to Start a New Game. I have 45 hours playtime and was planning for much more but something like this is a game/community killer. Please fix it. The local files verify integrity of game cache... That might fix your issue. Upon further inspection my 'register.dat' file is empty. When i remake this file using a new save, it has information in it. I read that the 'register.dat' file is what tells the game how many save game files there are. So I'm assuming the game reads the empty 'register.bat' and thinks there are no save games. Even though the save files are in the same folder. How can I get my old 'register.dat' file back? What information do I need to add to 'register.dat' to have it recognise my save files? Say you have 3 saves you want to restore, but BiA sees none of them. 1. Put those 3 saves safely away somewhere. 2. Make a new game. 3. Save three times (in different slots). register.dat should now think there are three saves. 4. Change the file names of the old saves to match the new saves. 5. Replace the three new saves with your old saves. The game will think (in the menu) that they're the new saves, but the actual save data should be that of the old save. (Do keep your old saves safely backed up somewhere before trying this, just in case!) DarkJeff View Public Profile Search User Find More Posts by DarkJeff Find Threads by DarkJeff 02-20-2012, 04:53 P
