file" Network Configuration Errors Error 42 Updating PlanGuru - Issues running update Error 1316 - Installation Error Network Edition Installation - NWConfig Permissions Error Switching from Machine license installation to the PlanGuru Network Edition Install using "Run as administrator" option Problem Installing Trial - InstallShield Wizard "Error reading setup initialization file" Taylor Wielage Updated September 30, 2016 http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f10/solved-error-reading-setup-initialization-file-624859.html 17:37 We see this issue reported from time to time, and mostly with Windows Vista users. Typically this error means one of two things. 1. The application cannot install because you have insufficient privileges to install applications. This can often be corrected by running the https://planguru.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213350846-Problem-Installing-Trial-InstallShield-Wizard-Error-reading-setup-initialization-file- exe using the "Run as Administrator" windows option. See point 2 of this knowledge base post for more details: https://planguru.zendesk.com/entries/21316357 2. The download file gets corrupted. Sometimes this can happen, especially if your internet connection is slow and your anti-virus software is scanning the file during the download process. Try deleting the exe file from your downloads folder and download the trial again. You may also want to consider temporarily disabling your internet anti-virus scan. -PlanGuru Support Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google+ Was this article helpful? 1 out of 1 found this helpful Have more questions? I'm trying to install the latest Cingular OS (8700M_PBr4.1.0_rel529_PL2.0.0.152_A4.1.0.377_Cing ular.exe) for my 8700g and when I double-click the file I get the message "Error reading setup initialization file." I've installed OS's before and never got this message. I downloaded the file from here yesterday (with a download manager) and today (using Firefox) with the same results. Any ideas?
