Message Junior Member Join Date Jul 2010 Posts 5 "Error reading configuration file" - SOLVED! I was getting an "Error reading configuration file" from Pando when trying to install the trial. It turned out it was my malware blocker, in this case BlueCoat K9 Web Protection. Note that's not AV, it's a pure URL filtering product. It categorized the link cdn.pandonetworks.com/pando/pmb/win/win.ini as "Spyware/Malware Sources" The solution in my case was to set K9 to "Monitor Only", install lotro, then set it back to protect me. The categorization is correct - as Pando is P2P, I'm sure an amount of spyware/malware is distributed across it. Just a matter of manually allowing this install to go through before clamping down again. It's always a good idea to uninstall the Pando Media Booster once the game is installed. It is in fact P2P software, and can eat up your bandwidth if you leave it on to share the setup files.
