reading from file" during installation Posted by troyt on 2010-10-28 12:49 OS: Windows|Product: Komodo|tags: activeperlactivepythonactivetclinstallationkomodomsiPDKpermissoinstdk Question: error reading from file permission denied When I try to run the MSI installer, I get a dialog with the message: Error reading from file C:\Path\to\Some-installer.msi. Verify that the file exists https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/299603 and that you can access it. This prevents me from installing the software. What's wrong? Answer: The Windows "System" group needs to have access to the file. This problem often occurs when the msi file is saved to a folder without System group permissions and with "Inherit from parent" set. No download happens, at least not into my normal download directory. Any suggestions anyone? "Error Reading Audio File" message, please follow the troubleshooting steps below. Tap Delete from the My Library screen.
Tap the Red Minus. Tap Delete from device. Select Settings at the bottom-right hand corner of the app. On the Settings screen, tap Download Quality. Change the download quality from Standard to High.
