the office 2007 application starts and have narrowed down the issue to a specific reg key and value REG_MULTI_SZ.Now although the value and data appear in the virtual registry tab of the sequencer, I http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/cant-delete-autorun-entry/cd6e461f-c650-4f5e-b5b4-2ded1540f478 am unable to view them through registry and get the error 'Cannot display LocalServer32: Error reading the value's contents.' whenever I try and open a key that contains a REG_MULTI_SZ value. Is this a bug? Thanks,Andy Friday, March 06, 2009 2:47 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi,Logged the issue with Premier Support and they confirmed the issue. Thanks Marked as answer by Virtual Andy Monday, https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/fd727814-31f0-49e9-a416-52389c3f71fa/cannot-display-localserver32-error-reading-the-values-contents?forum=mdopappv March 09, 2009 9:11 PM Monday, March 09, 2009 9:11 PM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Hello,Check if the security descripter is kept (checkbox in the sequencer), this maintains ACL for all of the virtual environment. Are you running the script inside the bubble or outside? Apart from that I found this thread;http://www.petri.co.il/forums/showthread.php?t=5536/Znack Friday, March 06, 2009 10:56 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Hi thanks for the reply, but this effects Reg_MULTI_SZ values that aren't even in the sequence. I can view these in regedit outside of the bubble, but when I launch within I get the error stated above. I'm running windows 2003 server (NON DOMAIN CONTROLLER) service pack 2 and i saw this info in event viewer today while machine was locked: source "application popup" error reading package event ID 26 "Application popup: Windows - Low On Registry Space : The system has reached the maximum size allowed for the system part of the registry. Additional storage requests will be ignored. " I ran NTREGOPT program to have a look at the registry and i got this error: "hkey_local_machine\security error reading the values contents" so i went to hkey_local_machine\security and double clicked on the only entry there...there weren't any subfolders or subkeys..just one key that said "default" type was REG_SZ and the data was "value not set" but when i double click on it it says: "cannot edit: error reading the value's contents" I checked another windows 2003 server that i'm not getting any errors from and it's the same way..just one key and i can't edit that value. is this normal or what? can someone shed light on these errors for me? i'm almost afraid to reboot the server to be honest! Thank you! 0 Question by:linuxrox Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 12 Best Solution bygidds99 Did y
