We introduce you to Node – what it is, why it matters and how to set it up – before diving deeply into the key concepts and APIs that underpin its operation.Building upon your existing JavaScript skills you’ll be shown how to use Node.js to build both Web- and Network-based applications, to deal with data sources, capture events and deal with child processes to create robust applications that will work well in a wide range of circumstances.Once you've mastered these skills we’ll go further, teaching you more advanced software engineering skills that will give your code a professional edge. You’ll learn how to create easily reusable modules that will save you time through code reuse, to log and debug your applications quickly and effectively and to write code that will scale easily and reliably as the dema

Email: KB00389 - Corruption and repair of buffer queue files Product: PI Buffer Subsystem Version(s): 3.4.375.38 and later Platform: Windows English German Spanish French Japanese Korean error reading Portuguese (Brazilian) Russian Chinese (Simplified) Issue An interface node (client node) using the PI Buffer Subsystem (pibufss) was working, but has stopped sending data to the PI Data Archive server. However, network statistics on the PI Data Archive server show that the PI Buffer Subsystem is connected with the correct user account. If buffering is disabled or if the Buffer Server (bufserv) is used, the interface error reading value successfully sends data to the PI Data Archive server. Symptoms and troubleshooting Version 4.3and later PI Buffer Subsystem (pibufss)4.3 and later uses the new enhanced queue structure found in PI Data Archive 2012. It is designed to be more resilient and is capable ofrecovering from most corruptions. A buffer queue file can be corrupted during abnormal shutdown. The PI Buffer Subsystem willvalidate all the queue files to see if there are any corruptions on startup. If inconsistencies are discovered, it will go into Deep Queue Recovery. When pibufssis in deep recovery mode, it will not be available (cannot buffer new events) until the recovery finishes (see WI 128822), and the recovery time is roughly linearly dependent on how many events are in the queue. Refer to the Deep Queue Recovery section ofKB00735for more details. Restarting PI Buffer Subsystem at this point will further delay the queuerecovery process, as it will need to start the recovery again from the beginning. Please monitor the PI Message Log for the progress of the recovery. In general, there should be no need for reprocessing corrupted buffer queues with the exception of several known issues: 146963 - pibufss might fail to reco
